The New England Patriots’ running backs came to play against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 3.
New England surpassed 200 yards on the ground for the second time this season, and Sony Michel was a huge part of it. The rushing attack was jumpstarted by undrafted free agent rookie J.J. Taylor, who ignited the Patriots’ offense entirely in the first half.
Many fans and analysts on Twitter thought they were watching the undrafted rookie take Michel’s role on the team. Michel came in shortly after and recorded a career-long 38-yard rush up the middle. In the second half, he broke that record with a 48-yard rush down the throat again.
