Wide receiver Drake Stoops has officially made his first career touchdown catch in the form of a 32-yard bomb from Spencer Rattler.

Stoops, the son of former Oklahoma football head coach Bob Stoops, is a redshirt sophomore out of Norman North High School.

He felt out a soft spot in the Kansas State secondary and posted up right along the goal line on this play, before making the catch and diving in for OU’s second score of the day.

It was a beautiful ball from Rattler, who’s played well besides a pair of interceptions. The first was the result of a tipped pass at the line, while the second was an under-throw on a deep route.

Oklahoma leads Kansas State, 14-7, with just over five minutes remaining in the first half. The Sooners are looking to begin conference play hot as they attempt to defend their conference title for the sixth-straight season.
