After what’s been an offseason filled with unprecedented circumstances, the LSU Tigers and the Mississippi State Bulldogs are finally set to play their season opener in Baton Rouge.
It will be interesting to see how the matchup plays out, given how many players LSU lost to the 2020 NFL Draft and how different Mississippi State looks on offense with Mike Leach as the new head coach and graduate transfer quarterback K.J. Costello at the helm.
LSU will also be without cornerback Derek Stingley Jr., which is a huge blow to the defense.
People on social media seem to be pretty split on who will get the victory, despite the fact LSU is favored by a point spread of (-16.5).

With all the losses of optouts and now no Stingley…if MSU doesn't win there's bigger issues
