Anthony Davis (ankle) questionable but likely to play in Game 5

Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis hurt his ankle in Game 4 but he’s expected to play in a potential close-out game.

The Los Angeles Lakers are one win away from making their first NBA Finals but it will not be easy. Not only are the Jokic-Murray Nuggets are 7-1 All-Time in elimination games and currently riding a 6-game win streak in elimination games, but the Lakers are also dealing with some injuries heading into this crucial game. Most notably, Anthony Davis turned his ankle in the 2nd half of Thursday night’s Game 4, but he’s expected to play despite being questionable on the latest NBA injury report.

Frank Vogel indicated to reporters on Friday that Davis will play, while LeBron James is dealing with a knee to his thigh. However, they aren’t taking any potential excuses heading into the game, considering the Nuggets have played more minutes than any team remaining in the playoffs.

The Nuggets, while they have played more games than any team remaining, they are also the younger team in the match-up against the Lakers. It will be interesting to see if the Nuggets can continue their magical run of success in elimination games going tonight.
