Browns safety Ronnie Harrison plays good Samaritan to stranded motorist

Harrison reflected on the values his mother taught him

Ronnie Harrison hasn’t yet made much of an impact on the field since joining the Cleveland Browns. The young safety made a big one for a Clevelander in need, however.

Harrison acted as a good Samaritan to a motorist who suffered a blown out tire on I-80 as the safety pulled onto the interstate. Harrison used the jack from his truck to help the man change the exploded tire and get back onto the road safely.

“I just wanted to help and I knew I could get it done real quick and get him on his way,” Harrison said via WEWS News 5. “I just had to pull over and make sure he was okay, to make sure he was going to be safe because I knew it was probably a crazy event for him.”

The driver, Michael Cutlip, was very grateful for the random act of kindness. He didn’t know who Harrison was when the safety first pulled over to help him.

“[I] thank him extremely for what he did for me and wish him well with the year,” Cutlip said to News 5.

Harrison has played just eight snaps in two games since the Browns traded for the former Jaguars third-round pick. He has carved out an important role on special teams as he learns the new Browns defense on the fly.
