Oklahoma is looking to add yet another defensive back to its 2021 class.
Second-year defensive coordinator Alex Grinch is looking to continue to bolster the 2021 defense, this time with three-star safety Chase Hattley.
At 6-foot-3, 206-pounds, Hattley fits Grinch’s defensive back mold perfectly. The Sooners were originally grappling with 14 other Division I offers for Hattley’s talents, but that has been narrowed down to just North Carolina State and South Carolina.

Ten of Oklahoma’s 14 commitments play on the defensive side of the ball, and four of those are defensive backs. Should the Sooners add Hattley to their commitment list, DBs would make up a third of OU’s entire 2021 class.
Oklahoma currently has the 15th ranked class, which is good for second in the conference behind Texas, who sits at No. 14.
With Big 12 play set to begin, Oklahoma is sure to see more commitments in the near future.
