Oklahoma basketball has had a big offseason with acquiring high-level transfers, a reclassified high school senior and a top-instate player.

The Sooners continued that trend on Tuesday.

C.J. Noland is a class of 2021 four-star guard from Waxahachie, Texas, who held offers from in-state schools Texas A&M and TCU, as well as Vanderbilt, Kansas State and Oklahoma State. The 6-foot-3 guard announced a final seven including Oklahoma and Troy, joining the five previous mentioned.

On his birthday, Noland made his commitment official: He’ll join Lon Kruger and Oklahoma in the 2021-2022 season.

He is considered the 115th best player in the country according to Rivals and the 26th best shooting guard in the 2021 recruiting class.

Noland joins three-star, in-state prospect Bijan Cortes in the ’21 recruiting class. Oklahoma also added former 2021 graduate Josh O’Garro, who is reclassifying to the 2020 recruiting class, and transfers Umoja Gibson and Elijah Harkless.

The Sooners graduated one player off the 2019-20 team in Kristian Doolittle. Oklahoma is expected to be an NCAA Tournament team again in the upcoming season.
