Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel eluded to making some lineup changes for the starters in tonight’s Game 2, particularly after starting Dwight Howard in the 2nd half of L.A.’s Game 1 victory. But they won’t make any changes to their starting lineup in tonight’s Game 2, sticking with the starting lineup that has them three wins away from the first NBA Finals for the Lakers in over a decade.
Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports has the scoop on the Lakers starting lineup, reporting that the Lakers will keep JaVale McGee as their starter at center and bring Game 1 star Dwight Howard off the bench to disrupt Denver’s Nikola Jokic.
Los Angeles Lakers intend to keep JaVale McGee in starting lineup for Game 2 of the WCF against the Denver Nuggets, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Howard had 13 points, three rebounds, two blocks, and two steals in 16 minutes of action in Game 1. The Lakers were also a +14 in the minutes Howard played. McGee, on the other hand, was a -11 in 11 minutes and he failed to score a point in Game 1. Lakers coach Frank Vogel obviously believes McGee will be more productive in Game 2.
