[autotag]Tyson Nam[/autotag] scored his second consecutive knockout of a UFC newcomer Saturday when he beat Jerome Rivera at UFC on ESPN+ 36.
After scoring a “Performance of the Night” finish of Zarrukh Adashev in June, Nam (20-11-1 MMA, 2-2 UFC) followed up with another stoppage for the highlight reel when he put away Rivera (10-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) early in the second round of their bantamweight bout, which took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and streamed on ESPN+.
Following a competitive first round, Nam made a big adjustment to start the second. He came over the top with a huge counter right hand on Rivera that put him to the canvas. Nam swarmed to get the TKO just 34 seconds into the frame.

Following the win, Nam called out former title challenger Joseph Benavidez for a showdown. It wasn’t a great start for the 36-year-old in the UFC with back-to-back losses, but now he’s put together a pair of finishes and is calling his shot.
