Week 2 final injury report: Maxx Williams, Mason Cole out for Cardinals

Dan Arnold will get more playing time on Sunday and Lamont Gaillard will start in Cole’s place.

The Arizona Cardinals will play the Washington Football Team without a pair of offensive starters. In the final injury report of the week, center Mason Cole and tight end Maxx Williams were both ruled out of the Cardinals’ Week 2 game.

Cole suffered a hamstring injury in Week 1 and missed practice all week. Williams has an ankle injury and also was unable to practice all week.

Lamont Gaillard will start in place of Cole at center, while Dan Arnold will get more playing time in Williams’ place, while Darrell Daniels should see more playing time.

As teams can also promote up to two players from the practice squad, it would not be surprising if Jordan Thomas, one of their three protected practice squad players this week, were promoted to the active roster as an extra body for gameday, even if he gets only limited snaps.

Outside linebacker Kylie Fitts and rookie tackle Josh Jones are both questionable for the game. Jones was limited all week and Fitts was limited Thursday and Friday after sitting out on Wednesday.
