A’ja Wilson just won the WNBA’s MVP award in just the third season of her career.
It’s well deserved, too. She’s the league’s second leading scorer at 20.2 points per game playing on the league’s second overall seeded team with an 18-4 record.
Normally, when someone wins an MVP, there’s a press conference held somewhere. And the player’s friends and family are invited to the event to celebrate with the winner.
Obviously, that couldn’t happen for Wilson this season because the WNBA is playing in the Wubble at IMG Academy in Florida. She received the award in front of her teammates.
But she had the family part covered, though. Even though they couldn’t be there, she shared the moment with her parents, Eva and Roscoe, on a Facetime call. It was the absolute best.
We still can’t get over this reaction from @_ajawilson22’s parents Eva and Roscoe when they found out she won @WNBA MVP 😂#ALLIN ♦️♠️ pic.twitter.com/37jSuvUd6U

“A’ja: Hey, dad. You can’t tweet anything got MVP.
Roscoe: OH.
Eva: *screams*”
This is the best content you’ll see on the internet all day. Shouts to A’ja. Congrats on winning the first MVP of what will hopefully be many more to come.
