Indianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich told reporters Friday that tight end Jack Doyle has been ruled out for the Week 2 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
Doyle has been dealing with ankle and knee injuries and failed to practice all week, including Friday. Doyle is a big part of the offense so his absence will certainly be felt.

With Doyle out, the Colts are likely to lean on Mo Alie-Cox and Noah Togiai, the latter of which they claimed off of waivers from the Eagles after roster cuts.
The Colts initially thought Doyle would miss more than one game with the injuries but they aren’t sure now.
Reich also mentioned that wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. is dealing with a toe injury and will be evaluated over the next few days.
The injury report with game statuses will be released later Friday, but Doyle won’t be joining the Colts in their Week 2 matchup.
