ORLANDO — The Boston Celtics are now facing a 2-0 deficit in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals.
The Celtics blew a halftime lead and came up on the short end of a 106-101 decision against the Miami Heat in Game 2 of the Best-of-7 series.
Boston, the Eastern Conference’s third seed, squandered a 60-47 halftime advantage on route to going down to the fifth seeded Heat.
In the game, former University of Tennessee basketball star Grant Williams grabbed three rebounds while logging 10 minutes on the hardwood in the contest played at AdventHealth Arena in the Central Florida bubble.
Williams, who left the Volunteers’ program as a junior as the two-time Southeastern Conference Player of the Year in 2019, was later a first-round pick by the Celtics. He was the 22nnd overall selection in the 2019 NBA draft last summer.
