LSU announces students who test for coronavirus will have priority for football tickets

According to the email, all LSU tickets for the season will be reserved seating and students can set up groups of no more than four people.

LSU students who take a coronavirus test any time after Tuesday will have priority consideration for football tickets for the 2020 season, according to an email the school sent students on Monday.

LSU will hold the season-opener against the Mississippi State Bulldogs at 25% capacity, and interim president Tom Galligan has said a plan is being finalized for students to prove they tested negative for COVID-19 in order to attend games.

According to the email, all tickets for the season will be reserved seating and students can set up groups of no more than four people.

There will be no student guest tickets this season, also per the email.

Students can apply for multiple games through the LSU “student tickets” portal, located here.
Seniors will have access to 40% of available tickets, juniors will have access to 20%, sophomores with 15%, freshmen and transfer students 15%, and graduate and professional students will have access to 10%.
The deadline for students to put in ticket requests for the season is Thursday at 5 p.m., according to the email, and student ticket prices will range between $12 and $30, depending upon the contest.
LSU and Mississippi State are set to kick off at 2:30 p.m. CST in Baton Rouge on Sept. 26.
