Nick Senzel returns for Reds after stint on injury list.

CINCINNATI — After exactly one month of being on the injury list, center fielder Nick Senzel is set to return to the Cincinnati Reds’ lineup Monday.

Senzel, who has been shelved since mid-August due to an undisclosed ailment, is batting in the seventh spot for the Reds in the first game of their double-header against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Great American Ball Park.

Senzel, an All-State player at Farragut High School in the Knoxville Area before starring for the University of Tennessee for three seasons, was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 Major League Baseball draft.

He last played on Aug. 14 when the Reds defeated the Pirates, 8-1, in Cincinnati.

Senzel is batting .244 with two home runs and eight runs batted in. He has also scored seven runs.
