The new Amway Coaches Poll dropped on Sunday and, while Michigan State wasn’t going to be on it this week either way, this version is unique because it is the first Amway Coaches Poll to come out without any Big Ten teams in the ranking.
This means that Ohio State, a perennial top ten team, is nowhere to be found in this list. They were ranked at No. 2 in the preseason poll. Instead, ACC and SEC juggernaughts Clemson and Alabama sit at No. 1 and No. 2 on this version of the rankings.
Of course, things could change soon, as a report came out this morning that the Big Ten will be moving to reinstate the fall season in October after they collectively review a presentation their medical subcommittee gave on new rapid-response testing kits on Saturday.
