Doug Pederson on Zach Ertz comments: Won’t get into contract stuff. Zach’s a leader. I have no problem with Zach. #Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are just days away from their season opener at Washington and an underlying situation to watch is Zach Ertz’s frustration with not getting a new contract after the 49ers took care of George Kittle and the Chiefs inked Travis Kelce to a new deal.
Ertz has two years left on his current deal and the Eagles could cut the star tight end next spring since he has no more guaranteed money.
On Friday, head coach Doug Pederson weighed-in on the matter, refusing to discuss Ertz’s contract, while making it clear that he supports his tight end. Pederson again stated that Ertz is a big part of what the Eagles’ offense does and why they’re successful.
