WATCH: Chicago Bears 2020 season trailer is all about hope

Bears ILB Danny Trevathan has a message for Chicago fans that extends beyond football in the Bears’ 2020 season trailer.

The Chicago Bears are preaching a message of hope — hope for better days in this country and hope for a better season as the team prepares to take the field for the 2020 season.

The Bears released a 2020 season trailer, which opens following the season finale victory over the Minnesota Vikings — a win that felt like a loss — as Tarik Cohen and Eddie Jackson talking about how 2020 is going to be the Bears’ year. The video then transitions into a montage of the events that have transpired so far this season, including COVID-19 and the George Floyd and Jacob Blake shootings.

Then Danny Trevathan takes center stage, where he addresses the city of Chicago. Trevathan notes the hard times that have challenged us all — “but this city has never been afraid of a challenge,” he says.

Trevathan continues to talk about how the Bears don’t back down, how they support each other and fight through the hard times. It’s a message that feels greater than football. But there’s also a promise for brighter times for this Bears franchise.

“We came to win for you,” Trevathan declares, and we’re about ready to run through a brick wall right now.
