When a championship team has their backs against the wall, they usually respond and show off their championship mettle. That is exactly what Kyle Lowry and the Toronto Raptors proved on Wednesday night inside the bubble.
Facing elimination against the Boston Celtics in the semifinals, Lowry delivered a huge performance expected of a championship tested veteran. He had 33 points on 12-for-20 shooting with eight rebounds and six assists as the Raptors forced a Game 7 with a 125-122 double-overtime victory.
The game caught the eye of Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid who took to Twitter to praise Lowry. He said he does not get the appreciation he deserves in this league and he is probably right. He is an All-Star point guard and he is a proven winner.
Kyle Lowry is not appreciated as he should be #Winner

Philadelphia could use a guy like Lowry who refuses to not let his team lose. On top of being that dog and being that aggressive, Lowry is a guy who can put the ball on the floor and he can shoot the ball. The Sixers could learn from Lowry’s gutsy performance. [lawrence-related id=37554,37550,37547]
