LOS ANGELES — Former University of Tennessee football player Daniel Bituli did not land on the Los Angeles Rams’ 53-man active roster.
But the undrafted rookie free agent did make the team’s practice squad, which was released on Sunday.
Bituli, an outside linebacker, was the Volunteers’ leading tackler in each of the last three seasons and had hopes of being drafted.
However, injury concerns kept that from happening. He was signed by the Rams shortly after the 2020 NFL draft in April.
He was released in early-August, but the Rams re-signed him recently and cut him again last week.
The former Vol did, however, find a spot on Los Angeles’ practice squad after clearing waivers.
