The Dallas Cowboys are taking care of their own again by announcing today that the team has extended defensive end Randy Gregory through the 2021 season. Gregory had signed an extension during the 2019 season for 2020, but the NFL didn’t approve of the deal while he was under suspension.
With his last year of the previous deal tolling, Gregory was set to be a restricted free agent following the season as he has only accrued two seasons of service thus far (2015, 2018). Coming fresh off his NFL reinstatement the new contract can be worth up to $2.1 million in 2021 and a signing bonus of $200,000.

Gregory was able to rejoin the team this week but will be unable to suit up until the first six games on the Cowboys schedule has been played.
In just 28 games played over the course of three seasons, Gregory has logged seven sacks and 48 total tackles playing defensive end. Once cleared to suit up in 2020 he joins a highly touted defensive end rotation in Demarcus Lawrence, Aldon Smith, Tyrone Crawford and Everson Griffen.
