It’s never too late to join the party.
Texas recently sent an offer to four-star wide receiver Dont’e Thornton out of Baltimore, Maryland. He’s the No. 2 overall player in the state and No. 6 wide receiver out of the 2021 recruiting class, according to 247Sports Composite.
There’s a high confidence score on 247Sports’ Crystal Ball Predictions that Thornton is likely to commit to the University of Oregon, therefore Texas will need to act quickly to form a relationship with the two-sport athlete.
Thornton is a 6-4, 185-pound playmaker who has great body control with big-play capability. He was named to the U.S. Army All-American bowl roster as well as the Polynesian Bowl roster.
He’s received offers from numerous well-respected programs such as Georgia, Notre Dame, USC, Oregon, LSU, Penn State, Auburn, Florida, Maryland and Ohio State.
