Mike Trout made Angels history on Saturday, when the slugger and presumptive G.O.A.T. hit his 300th career home run. It set a team record for the Angels with the blast, and made Trout one of the youngest players ever to hit the milestone.
(Alex Rodriguez holds the record — he hit his 300th home run at 27 years, 249 days. Mike Trout turned 29 last month.)
Trout passed Tim Salmon on the all-time Angels home run list, and the urge to make a fish pun here is almost insurmountable. But I am better than that. This easy opportunity will not reel me in.
