Ahead of Game 7 on Tuesday night, Hall of Famer Magic Johnson detailed how each the Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz can walk away with the victory and advance to the second round of the NBA playoffs.
Behind a remarkable performance by Jamal Murray, the Nuggets staved off elimination on Sunday to keep their season alive. Murray recorded his second 50-point performance of the series and became one of just four players in history to have two such outings in a playoff series.
According to Johnson, the Nuggets’ role players will need to offer support to Murray as he called upon the likes of Nikola Jokic, Gary Harris, Paul Millsap and rookie Michael Porter Jr. to step up.
I'm so excited for Denver vs. Utah Game 7 & to see Jamal Murray vs. Donovan Mitchell! For Denver to win, Nikola Jokić, Gary Harris, Paul Millsap, or Michael Porter Jr. has to step up! For Utah to win, it's on Mike Conley, Jordan Clarkson, Joe Ingles, or Rudy Gobert to step up.

Porter scored just two points in the win on Sunday but hauled in 12 rebounds and finished a game-high plus-21 on the court. Porter hasn’t nearly been as effective in the series since moving to the bench but he has been productive in various stints on the court.
The Nuggets also received timely contributions in Game 6 as Jokic scored 22 points and Jerami Grant had 18 points. With the season on the line, the Nuggets will once again need everyone to contribute if they want to advance to the next round.
Game 7 is scheduled to tip-off at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
