Vasiliy Lomachenko and Teofimo Lopez are set to take part in a title-unification bout. Gervonta Davis is scheduled to face Leo Santa Cruz. Devin Haney wants a big fight. And hot prospect Ryan Garcia will face Luke Campbell.
In this video, courtesy of DAZN, promoter Eddie Hearn discusses the immediate future of the division.
He said Haney is considering a number of potential opponents for a projected fight in October, including Yuriorkis Gamboa, Javier Fortuna and Lee Selby.
And Hearn had a strong opinion on the November fight between Garcia and Campbell, the latter of whom he promotes. He called Garcia’s decision to take the fight “a terrible, terrible decision,” meaning he believes Campbell will emerge victorious.
