At some point, fans will be able to take in a Rams game at the spectacular new SoFi Stadium, watching their favorite players run out of the tunnel and take the field under the Oculus. But with fans not allowed to attend games “until further notice,” they’ll have to settle for videos on social media and televised games this fall.
Oh, and Jared Goff body doubles.
The Rams were testing player intros at SoFi Stadium recently and the guy playing the role of Goff shared photos and a video of how the spectacle could look. It involves two big ram heads and smoke, as well as banners with the Rams’ wordmark and logos on them.
Scroll through the post for a video of Goff’s double running out of the tunnel.
While changes could of course be made between now and the time the Rams take the field at SoFi Stadium on Sept. 13 – assuming they still do player intros in an empty stadium – but this is probably what the game-day scene will look like.
The ram heads actually look pretty awesome, even better than the minimalist logo that the team released earlier this year. Throw in some smoke, cool graphics on the ribbon boards around the stadium and on the Oculus, and the Rams have a nice little setup for Sundays.
The team will hold its second scrimmage at SoFi Stadium on Saturday afternoon and will replicate a typical game-day routine. Sean McVay didn’t specify whether that would include player intros, but maybe they’ll test it out this weekend.
