The Los Angeles Lakers have a Lakers Gold opportunity to close out a Portland Trail Blazers team that had stirred the feelings of many but ultimately could not withstand the juggernaut that LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and the Lakers defense have created together.
The Blazers avoided a worst-case scenario when it was announced that the knee sprain for Damian Lillard was nothing more than that following a second MRI on Tuesday afternoon. But Lillard is out for Game 5 and according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports and the NBA on TNT, he’s out for the remainder of Portland’s stay in the bubble, which frankly doesn’t appear to be any longer than tomorrow’s Game 5 with the Lakers leading 3-1.
How To Watch
Time: 6 p.m. Pacific/9 p.m. Eastern
Channel: TNT (National), Spectrum SportsNet (L.A.-area), NBC Sports Northwest (Pacific Northwest)
Spread via BetMGM: Lakers -14
Lillard’s run over the past month was excellent but the Lakers did what elite teams do and stopped it after it showed signs of life. Anthony Davis is expected to play after missing most of the second half due to back spasms. But nothing else matters more for the Lakers than the fact they’re only one win away from advancing.
