The Philadelphia 76ers made a move on Monday that was predictable after being swept in Round 1 as they moved on from coach Brett Brown after seven seasons at the helm. It was a move that was understandable, but that does not mean he didn’t do a good job considering the circumstances.
There is one player who is perfectly happy with seeing Brown fired and that is former Sixers forward Jonathon Simmons. Philadelphia acquired him from the Orlando Magic in the Markelle Fultz trade at the 2019 deadline, but he did not play much in 15 games with the Sixers and he did not factor into the team’s future plans as he was then traded to the Washington Wizards.
The lack of playing time is most likely why he is perfectly content with seeing Brown let go.
Bout time they fired his ass

Simmons could just not find his footing on the Sixers roster in the 2018-19 season and he has not played in the NBA since. The Wizards released him shortly after trading him. [lawrence-related id=37166,37158,37151]
