A pair of wide receivers were among the six players who worked out for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, receivers A.J. Taylor and La’Michael Pettway, quarterback J’Mar Smith, tight end Hunter Thedford, guard Fisayo Awolaja and offensive tackle Chidi Okeke all worked out in Green Bay on Sunday.
Taylor played 40 games for the Wisconsin Badgers, catching 66 passes for 1,049 yards and eight touchdowns. He also carried 10 times for 45 yards and returned 14 kickoffs.
Pettway was a grad transfer from Arkansas to Iowa State in 2019, when he caught 55 passes for 676 yards and six touchdowns.
Smith, a quarterback from Lousiana Tech, completed 236 of 367 passes for 2,977 yards and 18 touchdown passes in 2019, leading the Bulldogs to a 10-1 record. He originally signed with the New England Patriots following the 2020 draft.
Thedford, a tight end who transferred from SMU to Utah, played in 14 games but caught just two passes during his final collegiate season.
Awolaja spent time with the New Orleans Saints last season, while Okeke spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs last season.
