Tyler Johnson sheds light on Joe Harris’ departure from NBA bubble

The Brooklyn Nets won’t have Joe Harris at their disposal for the next two games against the Toronto Raptors.

The Nets shocked everyone who follows the team on Wednesday when they announced Joe Harris had left the NBA bubble in Disney due to a “non-medical personal matter” after Brooklyn lost Game 2 to the Toronto Raptors.

The team did not disclose any further information at the time of the announcement, but Nets interim head coach Jacque Vaughn has since confirmed Brooklyn will be without the sharpshooter for Game 3 on Friday, as well as Game 4 on Sunday.

Harris’ teammate Tyler Johnson offered a little more information to reporters on a Zoom call on Thursday, as well.

Johnson expressed that Harris left the Disney bubble due to an emergency family matter, per Marc Berman of the New York Post.

Aside from the two updates on Thursday, the Nets have disclosed anything further on the issue, but Brooklyn has stated, “The status of [Harris’] return will be updated as information becomes available.”
