Projected first-round pick, and former George Bulldogs forward, Anthony Edwards called himself the best prospect available in the 2020 NBA Draft ahead of the Draft Lottery on Thursday.
Edwards is among the prospects in the conversation to become the No. 1 overall pick on Oct. 16, though there is no clear-cut choice this year. In addition to Edwards, LaMelo Ball, Onyeka Okongwu and Killian Hayes are also said to be in the mix to be the top pick.
Edwards, as he mentioned on “Take It There” with Taylor Rooks, believes he is the best player across all aspects of the game, especially on the defensive end of the floor.
I feel like me on the defensive end, if I lock in every time on the defensive end, nobody is better than me in the draft. Of course, I feel like I can score the ball the best, pass, rebound, all types of stuff. I feel like defense is going to separate everybody in the draft.

Edwards established himself as a human highlight reel during his lone season at Georgia and offered a glimpse of what he can bring to the next level toward the end of the season. He averaged 21.8 points per game in February and proved to be nearly unguardable near the rim.
Edwards and the rest of the prospects should get a better idea of where they might land once the official draft order is determined on Thursday in the NBA Draft Lottery, which is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
