When he was in college, Justin Jefferson was in a pro-style offense at LSU.
Now, he’s with the Vikings, and the similarities between the two schemes have helped with his transition.
“We pretty much ran the exact same offense, just different terminology,” Jefferson said to reporters, via the Star Tribune. “Actually, being in that pro-style offense last year, it kind of helped me with what I’m going through now. It’s kind of easier to pick up plays, concepts, so just being here is kind of making my life a little bit easier.”
Jefferson is coming off a season with the Tigers where he had 111 receptions for 1,540 yards and 18 touchdowns.
He’s already impressed early in training camp which is good: the Vikings will need him to help replace some of the lost production from Stefon Diggs.
The Vikings traded Diggs to the Bills earlier in the offseason. Here he is with Buffalo at training camp.
