LSU football will face Mississippi State in the first week of the 2020 college football season, as announced on “The Paul Finebaum Show” at 2 p.m. on Monday.
The Tigers were orginally set to face the Ole Miss Rebels, but will now take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Week 1. The game will be played in Tiger Stadium on Sept. 26.

The Tigers have defeated the Bulldogs in the last pair of meetings between the two teams.
LSU topped Mississippi State, led by true freshman quarterback Garrett Shrader, 36-13 in Davis-Wade Stadium.
It will be interesting to see how different this year’s outcome is as the Tigers return with a new-look team after losing 14 players to the 2020 NFL Drat. The Bulldogs will also look much different, now coached by Mike Leach and expected to have transfer quarterback K.J. Costello at the helm.
