ORLANDO — Former University of Tennessee basketball player Tobias Harris finished the NBA regular-season with a big game Friday night. His team, the Philadelphia 76ers, also posted an impressive win over a top contender for the NBA Western Conference championship.
Philadelphia nabbed a 134-96 victory over the Houston Rockets to add the finishing touches to its regular season at AdventHealth Arena.
Harris posted one of his top games since the league restarted its season in the Central Florida bubble. He scored 18 points, pulled down seven rebounds and dished out nine assists in Philadelphia’s win over the Rockets (44-28 and the Western Conference’s No. 4 seed behind the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets).
The 76ers (43-30), the Eastern Conference’s No. 6 seed, will take on the third-seeded Boston Celtics (44-28) on Monday in the postseason opener for both teams.
