Bymanyt accounts, Anthony Harris is coming off a great season.
He had six interceptions, which tied for an NFL best, and also had 11 pass deflections. Not only that, he was the highest-graded safety in the league, according to Pro Football Focus.
There’s not much arguing when it comes to his recent level of play. There is some arguing, though, about whether the Vikings can keep him. Harris was given the franchise tag this offseason and his long-term future with the Vikings is now in question.
Here’s what Bleacher Report said about Harris:
Minnesota presumably tagged Harris looking to extend him during the offseason. However, the two sides couldn’t reach a long-term deal, so the Vikings will have to trade him if they don’t want to risk him walking away for nothing in free agency next offseason.
Harris might command a high price in free agency. That could be tough for Minnesota, so it makes sense that he could be a player that the team can’t afford to keep.
