In about a month, the Los Angeles Rams and Dallas Cowboys will take the field at SoFi Stadium for the first Sunday Night Football game of the 2020 season. That’s assuming the coronavirus pandemic doesn’t delay the season, but as of now, all eyes are on Sept. 13 in Inglewood.
The Rams plan to hold scrimmages at SoFi Stadium before then, and based on the condition of the building, it seems just about ready for games to be played there any day now. New drone footage from Drone World on YouTube shows off the stadium from a bird’s eye view, putting into perspective its size and the overall footprint of Hollywood Park.
The drone also flew into SoFi Stadium for a look at the field and Oculus video board.
As seen in the video, the SoFi logo and branding is in place along the edge of the stadium and on the roof. That was one of the final touches put on SoFi Stadium, though construction is ongoing around the exterior with parking lots being finished and trees being planted.
The lake just outside the stadium also looks done in the video and adds a nice touch to the landscape around SoFi. It will reuse stormwater in the area and as a result, there will be no fish or wildlife in the lake.
The Lake is approximately 6 acres and 2,500 linear feet around. Designed to capture, detail and reuse stormwater from the site, it was reconceived and designed as a community amenity.
