So much for that.
Despite the growing feeling that the Big Ten would delay rather than postpone or cancel the 2020 college football season, it seems that sobering news is coming for football fans on Tuesday.
There were numerous reports over the course of the past several days, first indicating that the Big Ten would be canceling fall sports or postponing them to spring, then that a vote never took place. By Monday night, it appeared that the conference was more likely to delay the fall schedule to late September rather than push to next year.
However, the presidents of the 14 member institutions met on Tuesday morning, and it appears they’re pulling the plug on fall sports after all, and punting the football season to spring.
Can confirm, via source, that the Big Ten will announce that the fall football season is canceled. League will try to play in the spring.

This comes on the heels of reports that the ACC is moving forward towards having a season as planned, while the SEC plans to cautiously move forward. The Pac-12 presidents are meeting on Tuesday with a potential plan to move similarly to the Big Ten, while little is known as to what the Big 12 plans to do.
Stay tuned for more.
