There’s a reason why everybody hates class projects.
It’s because everyone has had that one classmate who they were grouped that everyone knows is not going to contribute a single thing to the project. But the group has to get it done anyway, of course, because no one wants to fail.
Kevin Durant was that classmate for the Brooklyn Nets this season. He signed up for the group project last summer and did not play a single minute for the Nets this year — for good reason, of course.
Still, it’s absolutely hilarious that Durant got a $1 million playoff bonus from the team after they clinched a playoff spot on Friday night.
Kevin Durant has earned a $1M bonus with Brooklyn now clinching a playoff spot. The bonus before the season was considered likely and will not impact his $40.1M cap hit for 2020-21. https://t.co/lwhsuuIgFR

Hilarious. Shoutout to KD — the finesse game is strong. Although, I’m sure, once he hits the court again he’ll be worth every single penny.
