ORLANDO — Grant Williams made a contribution for the Boston Celtics off the bench Friday night.
Williams, a former University of Tennessee basketball player and two-time Southeastern Conference player of the Year in 2017-2018 and 2018-2019, scored four points and dished out an assist in Boston’s 122-100 victory over the Toronto Raptors, the defending NBA Champions, at ESPN Wide World of Sports Arena in Orlando.
Williams, who left Tennessee after his junior season logged nine minutes in Friday night’s game for the Celtics (46-23).
He was a first-round pick by the Celtics in the 2019 NBA draft. Williams was the No. 22 overall selection.
He was 2-for-5 from the floor in Boston’s win over the Raptors (49-19).
