The Steelers activated third-year receiver James Washington from the reserve/COVID-19 list on Friday, where he was placed on August 2.
The team released linebacker John Houston, an undrafted rookie free agent, in order to make room for Washington returning to the roster.
Washington led the Steelers in receptions in 2019 and looks to have a big year with a healthy Ben Roethlisberger.
Running back Jaylen Samuels and cornerback Justin Layne remain on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
