Cardinals come in dead last in new uniform power rankings

However, three of the bottom five teams have recently updated their threads. It could be worse.

It wasn’t long ago that Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was heard saying how he isn’t a fan of the team’s uniforms. In this, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the franchise, many fans have clamored for an update.

That sentiment is shared by Uni Watch in their uniform power rankings for 2020.

The Cardinals not only rank low on the list, they are dead last. They have the worst uniforms in the league.

What a disaster. The Cardinals start with a very old-school helmet look — plain white shell, basic logo, gray facemask — and pair it with newfangled elements like those clownish jersey sleeves and the league’s worst pants striping. It’s a painfully bad clash of old-school and new-school, and it all looks even worse when they break out the black alternates. Blow it up and start over.

While this is something some fans would agree with, it could be worse. Three of the teams with the five worst uniforms are the Rams, Jets and Falcons, all of whom have updated their uniforms.

Should they update or redo their uniforms? A large number of fans would love that. It would have been timely this year because it surely would have triggered increased merchandise sales, which would be beneficial in a year expected to have a large decrease in revenue because of the pandemic.
