Browns fans will have to wait a little longer before they get to see new safety Karl Joseph. The free agent signee has been placed on the physically unable to perform, or PUP, list by the team.
Joseph’s status is an extension of the foot injury he suffered last season as a member of the (then) Oakland Raiders. He missed the final seven weeks of the 2019 season after having surgery for a broken foot that also included a partial tear of the plantar fascia. The 26-year-old injured the foot while making an interception (pictured) against the Chargers.
Joseph is the second presumed starter to land on the Browns’ active PUP list. He joins WR Jarvis Landry, who was placed on the list over the weekend. Like Joseph, Landry is recovering from offseason surgery.
