Jacque Vaughn will have to get creative on Tuesday.
First off, the Brooklyn Nets head coach has to plan for Giannis Antetokounmpo, which isn’t an easy task for anyone — Khris Middleton isn’t exactly a slouch either.
Second, Vaughn will not to have his three best scorers at his disposal on Tuesday.
Now, that’s not a reference to Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Spencer Dinwiddie. Nets fans know full well they won’t see any of those three until the 2020-21 season.
Rather, Brooklyn will be without Caris LeVert, Joe Harris and Jarrett Allen against the Bucks. Harris is dealing with back tightness and LeVert has a thigh contusion, per Brian Lewis of the New York Post. Allen is sitting out so he can rest up, with Brooklyn set to follow up Tuesday’s game with a matchup against the Boston Celtics on Monday, per Michael Grady of YES Network.
Vaughn did not provide reporters with an update on Jamal Crawford during his Zoom call on Monday, per Alex Schiffer of The Athletic. The veteran guard has not played in a game for the Nets yet.
