Caris LeVert had a solid showing against the Orlando Magic in Brooklyn’s first seeding game of the NBA’s restart, even though his 17-point performance came in a losing effort.
But the wing’s numbers against the Magic paled in comparison to those he put up against the Washington Wizards on Sunday.
LeVert doubled his scoring output, finishing with 34 points on 11 of 25 shooting, grabbing seven rebounds in the process, as the Nets won 118-110 — and his efforts did not go unnoticed.
LeVert’s former Nets teammate Jared Dudley took to Twitter on Monday to praise the wing, proclaiming he could earn an All-Star nod down the line. But Dudley also touched on what LeVert needs to keep doing to improve his position on Brooklyn going forward:
Can def make an All Star team in the East, and be a 20 5 and 5 type player… He has to keep working on that 3 ball esp for next season with the 2 Top Dogs coming back… Has to be the defensive stopper like Klay is for Steph ..
Additionally, Dudley was excited about Joe Harris’ big game against the Wizards. Brooklyn’s sharpshooter was a miraculous 6-for-7 from deep against Washington (10-for-13 overall), finishing with 27 points to his name in the win.
Pay Day is coming for Joe Harris this winter!!! 🔥 https://t.co/BmOcCTLLqh
