Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes II wasn’t the first and only talented athlete in his family as he reminded Twitter followers on Saturday.
His father, Patrick Sr., was a former Major League Baseball pitcher from 1992 to 2003 who played for the Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, and Pittsburgh Pirates.
Dad’s stats may not have been overall great, but damn if this isn’t cool. And his respectful son wanted to give him a shout-out on the 21st anniversary of this feat.

As my own father would often say: Good on ya, son.
