LSU isn’t terribly far through fall camp, but freshman running back Tre Bradford is already making an impression.
Bradford comes to LSU as a four-star running back, and was listed as the No. 13 running back prospect in the 2020 recruiting class.
He rushed for 1,563 yards and 23 touchdowns with 9.2 yards per carry during his senior year of high school in 2019. He also caught 12 passes for 242 yards and three scores last season for Lancaster High.
During his final three years of high school, Bradford rushed for over 3,000 yards at Lancaster High School.

The Tigers have depth at the position going into 2020, but Bradford could be a surprise player this season. Orgeron could decide to use him on special teams as a kick returner, but Bradford’s role in the backfield on offense will likely be limited.
Although, Tyrion Davis-Price and John Emery Jr. both saw plenty of action as freshmen last season. His 6-foot, 190-pound frame puts him as a powerful rusher but he is also versatile in the pass-catching aspect of the offense.
While he will play behind Davis-Price, Emery Jr., and Chris Curry, the opportunity gives the star freshman a chance to learn and grow as a player while competing and awaiting his turn to earn a starting role.
Tigers fans should keep an eye out for Bradford as fall camp continues for the team and the 2020 season nears. He could quickly become a household name among LSU fans early in his career.
