Our friends over at Touchdown Wire have put out their list of the 11 best quarterbacks in the NFL. There is no more debatable topic in the NFL than who the best quarterbacks are in any given season. Many years, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger would make these lists with ease but this time around, Roethlisberger got no better than an honorable mention.
I understand reluctance based on the fact Big Ben missed most of 2019 with an injury. And I also understand they follow some pretty strict statistical thresholds for making the list. But this is what makes Roethlisberger great.
Roethlisberger is a first-ballot Hall of Famer not because he puts up gaudy numbers but because he makes everyone on his team better. He’s a natural leader and finds ways to win games he has no business winning.

Hopefully this season Roethlisberger returns to 100 percent and reminds everyone why he might be the most underrated quarterback in the league and the guy who led the league in passing in 2018.
