Tuesday will see the major influx of Browns players arriving at the team facilities in Berea for the beginning of this year’s modified training camp.
Before the veterans can get into the locker room and onto the field, they must first undergo a set screening procedure for COVID-19. Tuesday begins the process for the vets coming back.
Tuesday: COVID Testing
Wednesday: COVID Testing
Thursday: No testing
Friday: COVID Testing
The rookies, quarterbacks and players who are coming off injuries reported on Friday and already went through the beginning of the COVID-19 testing procedure. Two Browns, running back Dontrell Hilliard and undrafted rookie safety Jovante Moffatt, were placed on the COVID-19 reserve list as a result of the outcomes of the testing.
All players must test negative three times over four days before they can enter the facility. In between the tests, the players are required to self-quarantine at home.
Players are required to attend a virtual training camp primer that includes COVID-19 training and education and football-related team meetings. Any physical workouts, virtual or otherwise, are prohibited until the next phase.
The players who pass the COVID testing can get their physicals on Saturday and begin the conditioning acclimation period starting next Monday.
