NFL Network is preparing to reveal its annual Top 100 Players list, which premieres this Sunday. The three-night event will air Sunday, July 26-Tuesday, July 28 with three, one-hour episodes staring at 7 PM CT.
The Top 100 list is voted on by the players, and it always causes some controversy, whether it’s regarding players ranked too high or too low or even players that get snubbed, as is true every year.
The NFL shared on Reddit how many players each team will have in the top 100. The Bears will only have two, which is down one from last season’s three.
Let’s take a look at five Bears players that could be one of those two spots on the NFL Network’s Top 100 Players of 2020.
1. OLB Khalik Mack
If there’s anyone on the Bears that’s a lock for the Top 100, it’s pass rusher Khalil Mack. Even despite a statistically down season, Mack remains one of the NFL’s best players. In 2019, Mack had 8.5 sacks, 47 combined tackles, five forced fumbles and 14 quarterback hits in his fifth Pro Bowl season. Mack was one of three Bears on the Top 100 last year, clocking in at No. 3. While his ranking on this year’s list might not be as high, there’s no doubt that Mack has locked up one of Chicago’s spot on the Top 100 Players of 2020.
