Multiple members of the Brooklyn Nets were ruled out of the team’s first Disney bubble scrimmage against the New Orleans Pelicans well ahead of the contest on Wednesday.
Nets head coach Jacque Vaughn expressed that Jamal Crawford, Justin Anderson and Tyler Johnson needed more time to get acclimated to their new situation. Donta Hall was still in quarantine.
Lance Thomas’ status was up in the air, but he wound up logging 13 minutes in Brooklyn’s 99-68 loss to the Pelicans.
One player whose status was not expected to be in question for the scrimmage was Joe Harris, yet the Nets’ sharpshooter did not play on Wednesday.
But there’s no reason for Nets fans to panic.
Vaughn informed reporters after Wednesday’s game that Harris was not sidelined on due to injury. According to Alex Schiffer of The Athletic, it was simply Harris’ night off.
Harris and the Nets are back in action on Saturday when they face the San Antonio Spurs at 4:30 p.m.
